the MBA organizes an off campus leadership seminar.
About this seminar
Overview
Contemporary companies have to adapt to increasingly volatile and unpredictable markets in order to stay economically viable. The modern workplace has changed accordingly. Companies rely more and more on dynamic teams that bring together cross-functional expertise to tackle novel, urgent, and highly consequential tasks within very short time frames. All team members need to adapt quickly, coordinate and communicate effectively to achieve the team's targets. The skills required to be an effective leader in modern team environments differ from those that we associate with traditional leadership. Instead of domain expertise and long-term planning, process expertise and swift decision-making skills are in demand.
In order to help you develop these leadership skills, we invite you to a two-day, off-campus seminar, held in the Alps in Chamrousse. Focusing on hand-on learning, you will be part of small action teams that tackle a variety of challenging tasks within short time periods. You will experience leadership by leading and by being led through these team tasks. Under the supervision of the instructors and former experienced military officers, the exercises give you the opportunity to reflect on your leadership and team behaviors and ultimately help you further develop the leadership skills needed in contemporary work places.
